British Values at The UCS
All schools / colleges should actively “promote the fundamental British values” (SMSC in schools, Nov, 2014).
Here at The University Collegiate School, we actively promote the values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with difference faiths and beliefs. These are promoted through all subjects, and notably through our Elements Curriculum Offer. All of our assemblies and materials are quality assured to ensure that what is delivered is impartial.
We train and encourage our teachers to integrate British Values within their curriculum plans and time has been dedicated to this through our Continuous Professional Development.
The icons below show the way British Values are promoted to learners across The UCS.
