Xello, the flagship product from CASCAID, is the only careers education program that fully engages every student in building the skills, knowledge, and plans for future success — regardless of background, ability, or pathway.

Each student in Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 gets a 1:1 appointment with an independent and impartial personal guidance interviewer from our support team at the Connexions service.  Fiona works with all our students at least twice throughout their time studying with us at the UCS offering guidance and support in line with the Baker clause, ensuring that students are set in the right direction for their future destinations.  Each student gets their own personalised action plan to support them in the next steps into education, employment or training.  For more information you can contact Fiona at:

Post 16 providers - we provide access for our students through careers fairs and open evening events.  Training providers from Alliance Learning and the Growth Company provide access and assembly material linked to careers lessons in school.​

 

CV writing and UCAS applications

Students work with University of Bolton during their fortnightly career lessons, experiencing the University application process, creating personal statements, considering finance for study and university life
