Headteacher Welcome
Welcome to University Collegiate School
I am very fortunate to love my job at University Collegiate School and to work for Quest - an innovative Multi Academy Trust.
Values are really important to me and it is paramount that I work within an organisation that shares those values. I hold my core beliefs of inclusivity and providing the very best educational opportunities central to all I do. At University Collegiate School we always ensure staff have access to the best professional development opportunities and that young people are at the centre of all the decisions that we make. We understand why it’s essential that all children have access to a broad curriculum complimented by enriching cultural capital and personal development opportunities. We are supported by having a uniquely close relationship with the University of Bolton and growing businesses links. We are proud to be a University Technical College and the benefits that brings to our learners. We provide young people with a relevant education in a fast-changing world, and provide employers with the skilled workforce needed for UK industry to thrive. We offer young people the education they need today to equip them for tomorrow’s careers.
University Collegiate School is a warm and friendly school with incredibly high standards and expectations open to all sections of the community. This is a school where your child will be well looked after, happy and safe. From the moment they arrive here, there will be high demands placed on them and they will be supported, challenged and nurtured to meet those expectations. We want every pupil to leave our school with a secure self-confidence, with the conviction that everything they strive for is possible and with the belief that they can make a difference in the world. Your child will thrive in our school.
On a daily basis there is a calmness in the school and pupils display ‘work ready’ attitude to learning. We are professional, responsible and loyal. We are proud of the effective relationships between staff and students which is based on mutual respect and ensures there is a strong bond throughout our community. We have extremely high expectations and we strive to be at our best at all times. Whilst our school is rapidly improving academically, we endeavour to develop all other non-academic talents also, and to discover new ones. All children are strongly encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities to enhance their cultural capital experience and development of them as a well-rounded young person.
Finally, there is a powerful richness and diversity at University Collegiate School. With the support of our outstanding Pastoral Team pupils learn tolerance and understanding, and how to take their rightful place in the adult world. We hope you share our view of this special place. Feel free to arrange a visit while we are in operation if you want to embrace the experience of learning here.
